Direct-expanded puffed snacks
The snack expands at the die, then moves to drying, seasoning and cooling. Curls, sticks, rings and rounds are common directions to evaluate.
The finished snack determines the material, die, cutting method, drying or frying route, seasoning and packaging configuration.
A name like “corn puff” is not enough. The engineering team needs the target shape, dimensions, surface, density and texture direction to decide the die and process route.
