Industrial output for an established factory

The ZH85 moves the project into a 400–500 kg/h reference range. It is intended for manufacturers that already understand their market, can supply raw material consistently and need an industrial line sized for regular production rather than early demand testing. The larger capacity also makes coordination with drying, seasoning, cooling and packaging more important.

The catalog lists 191 kW installed complete-line power and approximately 114 kW reference consumption. Final electrical load depends on the selected line modules and utilities. Confirm the voltage, frequency, phase and available transformer capacity before the layout and quotation are finalized.

Where throughput is won or lost

Extruder capacity alone does not guarantee stable sellable output. Mixing accuracy, feed stability, die pressure, cutter speed, dryer residence time, coating load and packaging availability must support the same product flow. High expansion or a bulky shape may occupy more dryer and conveyor volume than a dense snack at the same mass rate.

This matters for products such as corn puff sticks, where length and density influence cutting and drying, and cereal rings, where the formula and ring geometry influence expansion consistency. Plan product changeovers and cleaning time when calculating real daily output.

When ZH85 makes sense

  • The sales plan supports roughly 400–500 kg/h rather than occasional short runs.
  • The workshop has room for the complete flow, access and maintenance clearance.
  • Utilities and the downstream packaging system can accept the planned load.
  • Raw-material preparation and quality control can remain consistent across shifts.

If demand is closer to 200–250 kg/h, compare the ZH70. For a high-volume factory targeting 800–1,200 kg/h, evaluate the ZH95 and its larger infrastructure requirement.

Output note: the 400–500 kg/h figure is the catalog-priority reference range. Actual output depends on the target product, formula, expansion ratio, configuration and operating conditions.

Turn the model into a project plan

Provide sample photos, raw material, formula ownership, snack dimensions, target output, shifts, packaging scope, voltage, heat source and workshop drawing. The engineering team can then propose equipment modules and material flow around the product instead of treating ZH85 as a fixed one-size package.
