Balanced capacity for a growing snack business

The ZH70 targets 200–250 kg/h reference output, placing it between a first commercial line and a larger industrial system. It can suit a manufacturer with proven regional demand, several finished-snack SKUs or a plan to improve output while keeping the project footprint and utility requirement manageable.

Catalog reference values are 126 kW installed complete-line power and about 75 kW consumption. These values support early utility planning, but they are not a final energy guarantee. Dryer heat source, product moisture, recipe, operating load and the selected optional modules affect the final project.

Build the route around the finished product

The twin-screw extruder cooks and shapes the grain blend, but the surrounding equipment determines whether the line runs as a coordinated process. A typical direct-expanded product uses mixing and feeding before extrusion, followed by cutting, conveying, hot-air drying, oil application, seasoning and cooling.

For a cheese-ball application, the project must confirm ball diameter, density, surface and coating level. For cereal rings, the die opening and ring profile must remain consistent at the intended throughput. Different shapes can use interchangeable molds, but a mold change does not remove the need to adjust formulation and process settings.

ZH70 compared with ZH65 and ZH85

Choose ZH70 over ZH65 when regular demand requires more than the smaller line’s 120–150 kg/h reference range. Compare ZH85 when the factory needs 400–500 kg/h, has sufficient utilities and can keep the larger downstream system loaded. The correct comparison uses sellable output per shift, not only the nameplate capacity.

Configuration note: packaging is an optional project module. Bag size, target bags per minute, weighing accuracy and film specification should be confirmed separately from the extrusion section.

Prepare the factory data early

A useful proposal needs a product reference, material direction, capacity, working schedule, voltage, heat source and workshop layout. If the formula is new, sample testing may be necessary before the die and process window can be confirmed. Send those inputs through the inquiry form for an engineering recommendation.
