A practical starting point for commercial puffed snacks
The ZH65 is the smallest of Zhuoheng’s four reference puffed-snack line sizes. Its 120–150 kg/h capacity direction is suited to buyers moving from product development into regular commercial output, or factories that need a focused line for a regional market. It is still a complete industrial process rather than a tabletop or laboratory machine.
The reference line uses 89 kW installed power and approximately 53 kW reference consumption. Installed power describes the connected complete-line load shown in the catalog; it should not be confused with the power of the extruder alone. The final electrical and heating configuration must be checked against your product, utilities and destination voltage.
What the ZH65 line normally needs
A typical direct-expansion route combines powder mixing, controlled feeding, twin-screw extrusion, shaping and cutting, drying, oil spraying or seasoning, cooling and optional packaging. The exact module list is determined by the snack rather than by the model number.
Raw-material fit: corn and rice are the starting materials shown for this line family in Zhuoheng’s catalog. Other grain flours or starch blends need formula-specific evaluation; a model number alone does not confirm their expansion, texture or output.
Finishing-route boundary: this ZH65 reference follows the direct-expanded, dried-snack route. Oil spraying during seasoning does not confirm a frying stage. If your target is fried, filled, or a pellet for later expansion, request a separate process and equipment-scope review. Use the direct-expanded versus fried snack guide when the route is uncertain.
- Corn puff sticks and curls: usually evaluated through extrusion, cutting, drying and drum seasoning.
- Cheese balls and cereal rounds: need the die-face cutting, expansion and coating result checked by sample.
- Cereal rings: depend on ring profile, formula flow, cutter setting and drying stability.

When to choose a larger model
ZH65 may be too small when the required sellable output, daily shifts or downstream packaging demand consistently exceeds its reference range. In that situation, compare the ZH70 before adding extra shifts or planning a second line. A larger machine is not automatically better: stable sales, available power, dryer size, labor and packaging speed all matter.
Information required for a useful quotation
Before comparing proposals, use the puffed snack production line quotation guide to check which processing stages, utilities and services each offer includes.
Send finished-snack and cross-section photos or a sample, target dimensions, raw material and formula status, desired hourly output, working hours, local voltage and workshop dimensions. State whether drying or frying is confirmed or still uncertain.
Before approving a configuration, ask which product checks require a trial and agree the test conditions and acceptance targets for shape, expansion, texture and saleable output. Request a written ZH65 equipment list marking supplied, optional and buyer-supplied stages, with any unresolved formula or trial requirements.
